Fasting & Prayer Update – Week 7

Fasting & Prayer

Every Friday this summer at Big Valley Grace Community Church, we want to join together in the spiritual discipline of fasting & prayer as a church family. Each Friday as we fast, we will be directing our prayers toward a different need; for our personal lives, for our church family, and for our community and government. Join us this Friday as we fast and pray for children attending Kid’s Campus!

In the book of Mark, Jesus says this:

Whoever welcomes one of these little children in my name welcomes me; and whoever welcomes me does not welcome me but the one who sent me. (Mark 9:37 NIV)

We are so grateful for the hundreds of children who are participating in Kid’s Campus this week!  Many have never been to church before and will hear the gospel presented for the first time.

Here are four ways to pray for the children:

Salvation–Pray that many will answer the call to receive the gift of salvation.

In the same way there is joy in the presence of the angels of God when one sinner repents.” (Luke 15:10 TLB)

Strength–pray that all of them would grow strong in their faith.  Ask that God would help them to make right choices. (See Ephesians 6:10-13)

Protection— We know that the enemy wants to destroy the work God is doing, so pray that God will protect them from his evil schemes.   (see 1 Peter 5:8)

Others –Pray that they would mature as they follow Christ and share what God is doing in their lives with others. (see Matthew 28:19-20)
