Reach Global

Matthew 28:19, Mark 16:15, Acts 1:8

Big Valley Grace believes in actively reaching the world with the love of Jesus through compassion efforts, training church leaders and multiplying churches.

Opportunities

Each year we offer opportunities to reach the global community.  Short and long-term opportunities are available to serve with our global partners as they reach out with the love of Jesus.

CURRENTLY, THERE ARE NO BVG SHORT-TERM TRIPS PLANNED FOR 2017.  CHECK BACK FREQUENTLY TO SEE IF OUR MINISTRY IS PLANNING ONE FOR THE FUTURE. THANK YOU.

Short-Term Trips  Guidelines-

Following Jesus in this way is not so much something you do, but it’s who you are and becoming:
-Where are you in your walk with Christ?
– How are you growing, serving and sharing as a Christ-follower?

Look through the Reach Global and Reach Local pages on the BVG website to learn about our current missions partners or contact Reach
-Which areas locally and/or globally are of interest to you?
-What questions do you have about our vision, values and strategy?
-Are you part of any Big Valley Grace large group community? Are you part of a Home Growth Group?
– How long have you been attending BVG and a member of our family? Is it more than nine months?
– Who are the mentors in your life? Who are those that you are influencing/helping to grow?
-Have you completed a Perspectives class to understand various cultures around our world?
-Have you completed a SEEDS (Evangelism Explosion) class to understand how to share your faith?
-Have you been on a short-term trip prior to this inquiry?

Interested in experiencing a Big Valley Grace Short-Term Trip? Please contact our Reach Department at 209-577-1604, ext. 337 to provide further information and requirements for each member of the Big Valley Grace mission team.

REACH out to our Global Partners through encouragement notes and email!

The small blessing of receiving a surprise note of encouragement speaks volumes to our partners. Please consider sending correspondence on a regular basis to help uplift the spirits of our missionaries and let them know you are praying for their efforts!

THANK YOU!!

Unreached People Groups

There are nearly 3,986 Unreached People Groups (UPG) of the world. An Unreached People Group means there is no indigenous community of believing Christians with adequate numbers and resources to evangelize to their own people. The Reach Ministry here at Big Valley Grace would like to challenge other FOLLOWERS OF JESUS to join our team in reaching the UPG’s of the world and helping to complete God’s call to fulfill the Great Commission (Matthew 28: 19-20).

Reach will provide UPG prayer cards and distribute to as many prayer warriors as possible to begin praying about minimizing and ultimately reaching the 3,986 groups of people in this world without the opportunity to know Jesus. Pray for the gospel to extend to various areas of the globe through Bible studies, Missionaries, Church Planters and Biblical Christian materials.

For more information on how you can do this, please Contact Katie Fuentes for a current, printable list of UPG prayer cards or visit Joshua Project Prayer Cards

Big Valley Grace has partnered with congregations in Baja Mexico to build worship facilities, work with local orphanages, train pastors, build houses and present the gospel to thousands of children during Vacation Bible School programs.

Become part of the High School Ministry, Men’s Ministry or Spanish Ministry teams that go on short-term mission trips.
Help financially and spiritually by supporting youth and young adults as they experience short-term mission life in Mexico.

It’s a small act that makes a big difference to reach the unreached.

As part of the Great Commission, given in Matthew 28:19 to “go and make disciples of all nations,” Adopt a Verse is a Wycliffe Bible Translators campaign to engage churches in Scripture translation for people who do not yet have the Bible in their native language or dialect.  Big Valley Grace is joining with Wycliffe to reach the Unreached People Groups of South Asia.

As a church, our goal is to have the following Books of the Bible translated into the three native dialects of people in South Asia: Romans, John 1-3, James, Philemon and Hebrews.  The average cost to translate one verse is approximately $40.  The monies raised through our adoption efforts will translate the books into the native language, allowing more than 1.25 million unreached people to read the books of the Bible for the first time!

How to Adopt A Verse

Throughout the year, you can donate online through Big Valley Grace online giving. Please indicate the following: Adopt A Verse in the memo line or look for the specific Adopt A Verse column. The donation amount is a minimum of $40 per verse, per language. AAV giving

Pray

Pray for the unreached people of South Asia without access to God’s Word and the opportunity to have their lives transformed by the Living God. Pray for the Wycliffe translators as they translate the books into a language that touches the hearts and lives of the hearers. Pray for the impact of the gospel to reach beyond South Asia to other Unreached People Groups of the world.

Impact

It’s an opportunity to adopt a verse for just $40, to invest in the vision of reaching the people of South Asia with the good news of salvation through Jesus Christ.  If you cannot afford the total donation amount, invite a family member or friend to invest with you to adopt a verse. Together, the family of Big Valley Grace can bring the various books of the Bible to those who have never read of the great problem of sin and God’s greater plan to save us!
