For you created my inmost being, you knit me together in my mother’s womb. I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made.
The Wingman Ministry offers assistance to differently-abled children (grades 1-6) who need support in order to participate safely and successfully in Sunday gatherings and other Big Valley Grace events. The ministry consists of volunteer teens and adults who have a desire to serve and provide assistance and friendship to a child in need.
Our prayer is that parents will know that their child is fearfully and wonderfully made. We will take every effort to ensure the child’s safety while creating a environment in which he/she can worship God, learn about Jesus, and unleash God-given ability. This ministry will also give parents a chance to breathe and attend a gathering. Our mission is to strengthen and nurture the spiritual growth of the entire family.
Do you need a Wingman?
Do you (or does someone you know) have a child who has special needs and who could use assistance? In order to assist us in finding a qualified Wingman, all parents/guardians/caregivers must fill out our “Parent Caregiver Questionaire” and meet with a ministry coordinator before a child will be matched. This allows our coordinator to match our trained volunteers with a child’s specific needs.
Want to be a Wingman?
Make an impact on the life of a child. Help a differently-abled child feel loved and learn about Jesus, while giving an entire family the opportunity to participate in church. To provide 1:1 support and friendship to a child at Sunday School contact the Wingman Coordinator.
Training and support are provided for each Wingman.
Wingman Ministry is offered at the 11:00 a.m. Sunday gathering for children in grades 1 – 6.
