This fall, beginning August 24-25, 2019, we launch a new study series into the book of Job and invite you to come and join us for these ten weeks!

Have you ever wondered how God can be “God” and allow suffering? Are any great purposes achieved when we are confronted with a broken world? Does suffering give evidence to God’s lack of compassion or power? Is life random? Are some “lucky” and others “unlucky?” Is God in control, even when our lives seem chaotic or when trouble afflicts us?

Through no fault of his own, Job lost everything! He lost his family! He lost all of his possessions, and even his own physical health! Then, men who had been long time friends and associates, sat with Job in his grief, judged him, and condemned him, increasing Job’s anguish.

During the next ten weeks, we will be diving into these questions and many more, including how to be a friend who truly brings comfort and encouragement. We will also discover the Lord’s great compassion and comfort when the days seem darkest.

All our messages will be posted online, but if you are able…come join us and be a part of our church family. We are here to love and support you. No one should ever have to walk alone!

If you would like prayer about a struggle you are facing, join us during a Weekend Gathering, or click here to complete a prayer request and be contacted by a Big Valley Grace staff member.

“In this world you will have trouble.”  John 16:33b

In my distress I called to the Lord...  Psalm 18:6a

Weeping may endure for a night, but joy comes in the morning.  Psalm 30:5b

The Lord is close to the brokenhearted; he rescues those whose spirits are crushed. The righteous person faces many troubles, but the Lord comes to the rescue each time.  Psalm 34:18-19

Cast your cares on the Lord and he will sustain you; He will never let the righteous be shaken.  Psalm 55:22

You keep track of all my sorrows. You have collected all my tears in your bottle. You have recorded each one in your book.  Psalm 56:8

Cast all your anxiety on him because he cares for you.  1 Peter 5:7
