FACILITIES MAINTENANCE/SET UP TEAM

POSITION SUMMARY
BVGCC is seeking a Facilities Maintenance/Set Up person who has a strong work ethic, is experienced with general maintenance, and able to work on a team or independently.

QUALIFICATIONS
• Must be or willing to become a member of Big Valley Grace Community Church
• Leadership and team building skills
• Physical ability and aptitude to perform physical and maintenance skills to accomplish the duties required

GENERAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
General Maintenance
• Painting
• Basic electrical repair
• Wall repair
• Light replacement
• Plumbing
• Basic carpentry
Set Up
• Set up rooms as directed by supervisor and according to diagrams
• Move stacked chair carts, unstacking and stacking chairs, and placing them according to diagram
• Move table carts, unstacking and stacking tables and placing them according to diagram
• Communicate with team and access computer for jobs assigned
32 hours per week (will include nights)

WORSHIP ASSOCIATE

POSITION SUMMARY

BVGCC is seeking a dynamic Worship Associate who has strong leadership skills, is an experienced vocalist/instrumentalist, and is proficient in music technology.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Desire and ability to care for people
  • Teachable and humble spirit
  • Strong leadership and team building skills
  • At least 2 years of full time experience in leadership and worship/music ministry
  • Proficiency in one or more instruments (keyboard/piano skills preferred)
  • Strong vocal ability and engaging stage presence
  • Expertise in music technology software (i.e. Pro Tools, Digital Performer and Ableton)
  • Flexibility, and the ability to troubleshoot on the fly
  • Familiar with Planning Center and Pro Presenter software

GENERAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • 45-55 hours per week (salaried/exempt)
  • Will include up to 3 nights out a week (Tuesday, Wednesday, Saturday) on a regular basis and can exceed that amount during peak seasons of ministry activity
    Will oversee arranging and technical production of musical elements for all weekend

gatherings and various special events. (stage tracks, arrangements, etc.)

  • Care investment in worship team members outside of rehearsals (i.e. counseling,

shepherding, fellowship)

  • Musical investment in worship team members

VENUE & CR WORSHIP GATHERINGS (Sunday 9:00am & 11:00am; Tuesday 6:30pm)

  • Primary Worship Leader for 2 gatherings: The Venue & Celebrate Recovery
  • Provide caring leadership to Venue community
  • Recruit, organize and schedule volunteer worship teams
  • Select songs and arrangements for Venue & CR Gatherings
  • Participate in weekly planning meetings with Weekend Production Team & Recovery Ministry Leadership Team

Graphic Designer

THE POSITION
BVGCC is seeking a dynamic Graphic Designer who is passionate about being part of a creative Communications Team committed to serving and supporting the various ministries of BVGCC. The successful candidate will use their gifting and expertise in design to work collaboratively with the Communications Director, Communications Team, and other church staff to create digital and print communications materials that supports the internal and external promotion of BVGCC’s upcoming events and ongoing ministries.

Reporting to the Director of Communications, the Graphic Designer’s responsibilities will include:
• Design and layout of the BVGCC weekly printed program for our Weekend Gatherings
• Create a wide range of digital assets, including sermon series artwork, pre-service slides, web headers, shareable social media content, and web-specific graphic content
• Create a wide range of physical assets, including printed inserts, ministry postcards, flyers, handouts, posters, street banners, and signage
• Develop and maintain the utilization of design content within existing tools of BVGCC, including the website, ministry wall, social media accounts, email, and mobile app

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
• Mac proficient and high level of expertise in Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign
• Effective application of typography, stock art, color theory, vectors, & copy text in design
• A strong and diverse visual design portfolio (online or pdf)
• Bachelor’s degree in graphic design preferred or equivalent design experience

OTHER GENERAL EXPECTATIONS
• Excellent visual, written, and oral communications skills
• Team player and attitude with a desire to learn, be trained, and grow in the wider scope of the Communications team (processes, tools, project management, etc.)
• Strong work ethic; handle multiple projects simultaneously, deliver quality, meet deadlines
• Self-management skills; able to work well collaboratively & independently based on need
• Technical adeptness, fast learner, ability to adapt and perform effectively under pressure
• Membership at BVGCC

Part-time positions available on the 2nd and 4th Tuesdays of the month.

Tasks include:
-Love and care for children infants -12 years old.
-Teach Biblical truths and interact with children during the time they are here.
-Change diapers and feed infants; give snacks and drinks to older children.
-Clean toys, wash and fold laundry, reset rooms for next event.
