WHY DO I NEED GOD?

The Gospel is the good news of God’s love and grace coming to this world. The narrative of the Bible tells us that God, who is 3 persons in 1, created the world perfectly, including human beings. Unfortunately, Adam and Eve, like all of us, decided to rebel and disobey their Creator, even though all He extended to them was compassion, love, and His faithfulness. They wanted to be their own gods and rule their own lives (sounds familiar, right?). The punishment for their choice to rebel against God was alienation from a relationship with God and ultimately death. What were humans to do?

Thousands of years later, just as God had promised, a Savior entered the world. His name is Jesus Christ, and He came to “seek and save the lost.” He is fully God and fully man and not only lived a perfect life but died a death, taking our place and our judgment. Three days later He rose from the dead, conquering death, proving He was in fact God, and ascended to the right hand of the throne of God the Father in heaven. The Gospel (good news) is that anyone who confesses with their mouth “that Jesus is Lord” and believes in their heart “that God raised Him from the dead,” will be saved. God invites us into a relationship with Him. The question is, how will you respond?
