Week 3 — Tuesday: God Wants Us To Ask
Matthew 21:21-22
April 13, 2023, I was driving alone from Ripon to Hollywood. I stopped at the rest stop on the Grapevine, heading southbound on Interstate 5. After using the restroom, I continued down to my brother’s place in Hollywood. I found a place to park and texted my brother that I had arrived. Then I looked for my purse. It wasn’t in the car! I called my brother and told him the situation. I had left my purse in the bathroom at the rest stop! He said he would pray about it.
I prayed, “Lord God, please put a hedge of protection around my purse. Put a ring of fire around it. But not my will, but Your will be done. God, You said we could ask anything, believing and it will be done. (Matthew 21:22) God, I believe You can do miracles.” I drove back to the rest stop, praying over and over again. No purse in the bathroom, but there were workers around. I asked one about my purse. He said he wasn’t there at the time I had stopped, but that he would call his boss. He got on his cell phone and started walking. I followed him to a “crew” room. He went inside and a few minutes later he came out with my purse! And everything was still in it. My wallet had over $200 cash in it, and it was all still there! Praise God! God sent His angel to pick up my purse and give it to a worker. Awesome! Amazing!
Give it all to God; pray, petition Him, line it up with His will and believe!
“Oh, God our God, how wonderful You are. Thank you for answering my prayer and my brother’s prayer. You still move in mysterious and miraculous ways. Lord, I believe, help my unbelief. In Jesus’ name, Amen.”

September 19, 2023 at 8:55 amThis story reminds me how prayer should be our first response and not our last resort. When things don’t go as planned, when a situation spirals out of our control, no matter what the circumstances… pray. Include God. God loves when we run to Him, turn to Him, rely on Him. That’s all part of the relationship and the dependence. I think the more we are present with God, the more we live out what it says in 1 Thessalonians 5:17 to pray without ceasing.

September 20, 2023 at 8:16 amI learned a lot of things from reading this sorry I didn’t do it yesterday I completely forgot I am so sorry the things that Jesus did were phenomenal and amazing and prove the authority that even people who claim he was a prophet believed him while the Pharisees disagreed it’s amazing how Faith works and how like when the fig tree withered in Jesus was telling them to believe that kind of faith and to make it sound like and seen that anything is possible because with that kind of faith it is when you don’t doubt part of my testimony and my personal walk with Christ Jesus I have had Faith like that and have seen marvelous and miraculous things that God has done for me including answered prayers that has blown my mind to know that we serve a very faithful and wonderful and holy Creator who deserves all reverence Revere and respect from us to our King Jesus God bless you all
